The selected participants are:
1. Aisha Aliyu-Bima
2. Ifeoluwa Vivian Adegbie
3. Prince "Uhunoma" Charles
4. Zenas Ubere
5. Akumbu Uche
6. Michelle Umobong
These emerging artists work across various disciplines, including art curation, literature, photography, and filmmaking.
Over the next month, the residents will focus on their individual projects with support from the A&M Foundation. The program aims to provide a space for creative development and professional growth.
The A&M Foundation, a nonprofit organization, focuses on supporting creative professionals in Africa and connecting them to global opportunities. This residency program aligns with their mission to incubate new ideas and facilitate cultural exchange.
The foundation holds excitement about the residents' upcoming work and their creative journeys. As this stands to be the first cohort of A&M's research-based residency, it represents a significant step in the foundation's commitment to nurturing emerging talent in the contemporary art scene.
