Braunschweig University of Art (HBK) is now accepting applications for its scholarship programme Braunschweig Projects for curators starting on 1 April 2025.
Who Should Apply?
A curator who has already gained initial curatorial experience (at least 3 years).
Submission Guidelines:
Deadline: Before midnight 31 August 2024 to the following e-mail address: kuratieren-stipendium@hbk-bs.de .
The decision on the award of the curatorial scholarship will be made on the basis of the recommendation of an expert jury by the board of HBK Braunschweig.
The e-mail must include the following documents:
Completed and signed application form with personal information, a CV in table format, information on the candidate’s career as a curator and on previous scholarships, grants, and fellowships in brief form, description of a curatorial project and, if applicable, a teaching assignment to be realised during the term of the scholarship (PDF file, max. 1 MB; file name: CV_applicant name).
Evidence of curatorial work: portfolio with links to video and audio files available online, incl. password, if required (PDF file, max. 12 MB; file name: Portfolio_ applicant name)
External reference from the fields of higher education, the arts, and/or culture (PDF file, max. 1 MB; file name: Reference_applicant name)
Certificate of the highest academic degree. (PDF file, max. 1 MB / file name: Certificate_Name antragsteller*in)

-Received no later than 11:59 PM on 31 August 2024
Scholarship:
Funding is provided in the form of scholarships totalling €1,400 per month over a period of 12 months.
A fully equipped workplace at the university is provided and the presence on site is expected for at least one week per month.
A project cost subsidy of up to €4,000 will be provided to support the exhibition activities.
A budget of € 2,000 is available for travelling.
