Dior Unveils Ludovic Nkoths artistic flair in the 8th edition of Dior Lady Art. The artist transforms the Lady Dior with a new take on the Cannage design, featuring soft, curved lines on contrasting backgrounds, and bead-trimmed seams. The bags are adorned with intricate jewelry-like details, including Cameroonian-inspired ornamental golden mask charms and seashells. Inside, an intimate gallery unfolds, showcasing small-scale paintings from his series, encapsulating a singular statement of fine art.
ABOUT LUDOVIC NKOTH
Born in Cameroon, Ludovic Nkoth (b.1994) moved to the United States at the age of 13. He now lives and works in New York. Nkoth's artistic creations capture the essence of the Black experience with an unparalleled emotional depth that resonates with the diasporic life and the rich history of his heritage. Each of his thickly impastoed portraits is a gateway into a world of colour and texture. Ludovic holds a BFA from the University of South Carolina, and an MFA from Hunter College NYC.
